    Chris Heard is associate professor at Pepperdine University, where he teaches Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew courses. His scholarly work focuses on the use, influence, and impact of the book of Genesis and other narratives from the Hebrew Bible. He is the author of Dynamics of Diselection: Ambiguity in Genesis 12–36 and Ethnic Identity in Post-Exilic Judah (Society of Biblical Literature, 2001).
