The Philistine Temple of Dagon Devastated by the Ark of the Covenant, circa 244–245. Dura-Europos Synagogue, Syria.

This mural shows the ark of the covenant wreaking havoc in Philistine territory. After suffering many plagues, the Philistines decide to return the ark to the Israelites. They load the ark onto a new cart, which is pulled by two cows to Beth-Shemesh (1Sam 5-6).
