Zur (Zuhr)

1 A Midianite prince whose daughter, Cozbi, was killed by Phinehas along with her new husband, Zimri of Israel (Num 25:15; Num 25:6-8). Zur was slain by the Israelites in the battle in which Moses defeated Sihon, king of the Amorites (Num 31:8; Josh 13:21). 2 A Gibeonite, the son of Jeiel (1Chr 8:30; 1Chr 9:36).
