Zaphenath-paneah

Zaphenath-paneah (Zaf´uh-nath-puh-nee´uh)

The name Pharaoh gave to Joseph when he appointed him as vizier (Gen 41:45). The Egyptian meaning is uncertain, though it has been suggested that it means “The god speaks and he lives.”
