Loose-fitting, knee-length garment worn next to the skin by both men and women (Matt 10:10; Mark 6:9). Another tunic or garment would be worn over the first.

10no bag for your journey, or two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for laborers deserve their food.

Mark 6:9

9but to wear sandals and not to put on two tunics.
