Talitha cumi

Talitha cumi (Tal´uh-thuh koo´mi)

An Aramaic sentence that means “Young girl, arise,” spoken by Jesus when he raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead. Mark translates it into Greek as “Little girl, get up!” (Mark 5:41).

41He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha cum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!”
