Syene

Syene (Si-ee´nee)

A town on the east bank of the Nile just north of the First Cataract. Ezekiel’s pronouncement on the forthcoming fate of all Egypt at the hands of the Babylonians speaks of “from Migdol to Syene” (Ezek 29:10, Ezek 30:6).
