Shobal

Shobal (Shoh´buhl; Heb., “basket”)

1 The second son of Seir, a Horite clan chief who lived probably in Edom (Gen 36:20; Gen 36:23; Gen 36:29; 1Chr 1:38; 1Chr 1:40). 2 An ancestor of a Calebite tribe in Kiriath-jearim (1Chr 2:50; 1Chr 2:52), which was considered part of Judah (1Chr 4:1-2).
