Shemer (Shee´muhr; Heb., “watch”?)

1 The owner (or owning clan) of the hill Omri bought and used for his capital city, Samaria (1Kgs 16:24). 2 The father of Bani in the lineage of Temple musicians (1Chr 6:46). 3 An Asherite descendant (1Chr 7:32; 1Chr 7:34; “Shomer” in v. 32).
