Shema

Shema (Shee┬┤muh)

An OT town (Josh 15:26) that may be named after the clan of Shimei (1Chr 4:26-27). It is associated with the Hebron area and the four Calebite clans (1Chr 2:43; as often in the OT, names of persons and places are used interchangeably).
