Salt Valley

The valley where David defeated the Edomites (2Sam 8:13; Abishai in (1Chr 18:12) and, later, Amaziah defeated the same enemy and took Sela (2Kgs 14:7); parallel in (2Chr 25:11).

2Sam 8:13

13David won a name for himself. When he returned, he killed eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

1Chr 18:12

12Abishai son of Zeruiah killed eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

2Kgs 14:7

7He killed ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and took Sela by storm; he called it Jokthe-el, which is its name to this day.

2Chr 25:11

11Amaziah took courage, and led out his people; he went to the Valley of Salt, and struck down ten thousand men of Seir.
