A word used as both noun and verb in the OT. 1 A tree with straight-grained highly resinous wood, good for construction (Song 1:17), shipfitting (Ezek 27:6), reclamation (Isa 41:19), decoration (Isa 60:13), aromatics, and other products. 2 A verb meaning to fade away or dwindle (Lev 26:16; Lev 26:39; Isa 24:16; Ezek 24:23).

Song 1:17

Ezek 27:6

6From oaks of Bashan

Isa 41:19
