Old Gate, The

Old Gate, The

A gate in the wall of Jerusalem restored by Nehemiah (Neh 3:6; Neh 12:39), probably in the west, possibly in the north wall. Its precise location and identification remain unclear.

Neh 3:6

6Joiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son of Besodeiah repaired the Old Gate; they laid its beams and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
