Ochran

Ochran (Ok´ruhn; Heb., “trouble”?)

The father of Pagiel, Moses’s assistant from the tribe of Asher (Num 1:13; Num 2:27; Num 7:72; Num 7:77; Num 10:26), who carried out the functions of giving offerings, helping take the census, and leading the tribal march.

Num 1:13

13From Asher, Pagiel son of Ochran.

Num 2:27

27Those to camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher. The leader of the Asherites shall be Pagiel son of Ochran,

Num 7:72

72On the eleventh day Pagiel son of Ochran, the leader of the Asherites:

Num 7:77

77and for the sacrifice of well-being, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Pagiel son of Ochran.

Num 10:26

26Over the company of the tribe of Asher was Pagiel son of Ochran,
