northeaster, The

A violent, springtime, northeast wind that blew Paul’s ship, en route to Rome, south of Crete (Acts 27:14). Some English Bibles transliterate the word from Greek as Euroclydon or Eurakylon.

Acts 27:14

14But soon a violent wind, called the northeaster, rushed down from Crete.
