Mitylene (Mit´uh-lee´nee)

The main city and harbor on the east side of the large island of Lesbos in the Aegean Sea, just off the northwest coast of Asia Minor. Paul and his companions stopped at Mitylene on their return trip to Jerusalem during the third journey as recorded in (Acts 20:14).

14When he met us in Assos, we took him on board and went to Mitylene.
