minerals

Inorganic substances often obtained by mining. The Bible knows both precious and common minerals, such as iron (Deut 8:9; Gen 4:22; Josh 6:19; Jer 28:13; Acts 12:10), copper (Job 28:2; Ezek 24:11; Matt 10:9), beryl (Exod 28:20; Ezek 28:13; Rev 21:20), onyx (Gen 2:2; Exod 36:9; Job 28:6; Rev 21:20), and chrysolite (Ezek 1:16; Rev 21:20).
