Miletus (Mi-lee┬┤tuhs)

A large port and commercial center at the ancient mouth of the Meander River on the west coast of Asia Minor. Paul stopped here on his way to Jerusalem for the last time and summoned the elders of Ephesus to come for a farewell address (Acts 20:15-38). A reference to another visit of Paul to the city can be found in (2Tim 4:20).
