Milcah (Mil´kuh)

1 The daughter of Haran, the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor (Gen 11:29). She bore eight children, one of whom was Bethuel, father of Rebekah (Gen 22:20-23), who became Isaac’s wife. 2 One of the five daughters of Zelophehad belonging to the tribe of Manasseh (Num 26:33), who claimed before Moses that, since their father had no sons, his inheritance should belong to them. Their claim was sustained by the Lord (Num 27:1-7), as long as they married within the tribe (Num 36:1-12).
