Mikloth

Mikloth (Mik´loth)

1 A Benjaminite, the father of Shimeah (Shimeam) and son of Gibeon (1Chr 8:32; 1Chr 9:37-38). 2 The chief officer under Dodai, who was commander of twenty-four thousand men in King David’s army (1Chr 27:4). This reference to Mikloth is not in some manuscripts and is omitted in some Bibles.

1Chr 8:32

32and Mikloth, who became the father of Shimeah. Now these also lived opposite their kindred in Jerusalem, with their kindred.

1Chr 9:37-38

37Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth;38and Mikloth became the father of Shimeam; and these also lived opposite their kindred in Jerusalem, with their kindred.

1Chr 27:4

4Dodai the Ahohite was in charge of the division of the second month; Mikloth was the chief officer of his division. In his division were twenty-four thousand.
