meadow

meadow

A flat open portion of pasture or field. Suitable for grazing (Ps 65:13), it also serves as a symbol for desolation in a prophetic curse, its isolation and overgrown state compared to its former thriving life (Zeph 2:6).

Ps 65:13

13the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they shout and sing together for joy.

Zeph 2:6

6And you, O seacoast, shall be pastures,
meadows for shepherds
and folds for flocks.
