Malta (Mawl´tuh)

An island sixty miles south of Sicily, today making up, with two smaller islands to the northwest, the nation of Malta. According to (Acts 27:27-28:11), Paul was shipwrecked in a bay of Malta en route to Rome, spending the three winter months there.
