Lysanias

Lysanias (Li-say┬┤nee-uhs)

The tetrarch of Abilene in the days of John the Baptist according to (Luke 3:1). Luke gives the date as the fifteenth year of Tiberius (i.e., 28 or 29 CE), but the only Lysanias otherwise known as a ruler in the region died in 36 BCE.
