Lycia

Lycia (Lish´uh)

A coastal district in southwestern Asia Minor bounded to the west by Lydia, to the north by Pisidia, and to the east by Pamphylia. Its principal city was Xanthus (modern Günük). Paul changed ships at the Lycian port of Patara en route to Jerusalem (Acts 21:1) and again at Myra on his final journey to Rome (Acts 27:5-6).
