Lamech

Lamech (Lay┬┤mik)

1 The son of Methushael, husband of Adah and Zillah, and father of three sons (Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal-cain, the progenitors, respectively, of nomads, musicians, and smiths) and a daughter (Naamah). Lamech vaunts his inclination and capacity for revenge in a way that expresses disdain for the limits on retaliation set in such biblical laws as (Exod 21:25). 2 The son of Methuselah and father of Noah. He lived 777 years (Gen 5:25-29).
