Kemuel

Kemuel (Kem´yoo-uhl)

A name of uncertain derivation or meaning. 1 A cousin of Abraham and ancestor of the Arameans (Gen 22:21). 2 A leader of the tribe of Ephraim, appointed by Moses to assist in dividing the land of Canaan into tribal territories (Num 34:24). 3 A Levite whose son was that tribe’s official representative in David’s government (1Chr 27:17).

21Uz the firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father of Aram,

24and of the tribe of the Ephraimites a leader, Kemuel son of Shiphtan.
