Kedemoth

Kedemoth (Ked´uh-moth)

The wilderness area east of Jordan from which Moses sent a message to Sihon requesting permission to pass through his land (Deut 2:26). Later it appears as a levitical city within the territory of Reuben (Josh 13:18) assigned to the Merarite families (Josh 21:37; 1Chr 6:79).

26So I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to King Sihon of Heshbon with the following terms of peace:
