Jubal

Jubal (Joo´buhl)

“Father” (i.e., ancestral patron) of musicians playing the lyre and pipe, according to the early tradition of (Gen 4:21). One of two sons of Lamech by Adah, he is linked through his brother, Jabal, with herdsmen.

21His brother's name was Jubal; he was the ancestor of all those who play the lyre and pipe.
