Jokneam

Jokneam (Jok´nee-uhm)

A Canaanite city in Carmel (Josh 12:22). It was located in the territory of Zebulun and marked its limits (Josh 19:11). It was assigned to the Levites from among the cities in Zebulun according to Joshua (Josh 21:34); according to 1 Chronicles, where the name is spelled Jokmeam, it was among the cities in Ephraim (1Chr 6:68).

11then its boundary goes up westward, and on to Maralah, and touches Dabbesheth, then the wadi that is east of Jokneam;
