Jobab (Joh´bab)

1 A “son” of Joktan, descendant of Shem, and representative of an Arabian tribe (Gen 10:29; 1Chr 1:23). 2 An Edomite king (Gen 36:33-34; 1Chr 1:44-45). 3 A king allied with Jabin of Canaanite Hazor who fought against Joshua (Josh 11:1). 4 Two men of Benjamin’s tribe (1Chr 8:9; 1Chr 8:18).
