Jether (Jee´thuhr; also Ithra)

1 The father of Amasa (1Kgs 2:5; 1Kgs 2:32; 1Chr 2:17; he is called Ithra in 2Sam 17:25). 2 The son of Jeder; he died childless (1Chr 2:32). 3 One of the four sons of Ezrah (1Chr 4:17). 4 A member of the tribe of Asher, and the father of Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara (1Chr 7:38).
