Jeremoth

Jeremoth (Jair´uh-moth)

1 A son of Becher and grandson of Benjamin (1Chr 7:8). 2 A descendant of Benjamin of the clan of Elpaal (1Chr 8:14). 3 A Levite, the son of Mushai of the clan of Merari (1Chr 23:23); he is also called Jerimoth (1Chr 24:30). 4 A Levite, head of the fifteenth course of musicians (1Chr 25:22); he is probably the same person earlier called Jerimoth (a variant spelling). 5 The son of Azriel, head of the tribe of Naphtali during the reign of David (1Chr 27:19). 6 A member of the clan of Elam who took a foreign wife (Ezra 10:26). 7 Another, of the clan of Zattu, who took a foreign wife (Ezra 10:27). 8 A third, from the clan of Bani, who took a foreign wife (Ezra 10:29).

8The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher;

14and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth.

1Chr 23:23

23The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.

1Chr 24:30

30The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their ancestral houses.

1Chr 25:22

22to the fifteenth, to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
