Jabin (Jay´bin)

The king of the Canaanites (ca. 1100 BCE), who fought against the Israelites. In (Josh 11), Jabin, who led a coalition of Canaanite petty princes, was defeated at the Waters of Merom and was executed (Josh 11:10). In (Judg 4:2), Jabin is called “king of Canaan who reigned in Hazor.”

Josh 11:10

10Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and struck its king down with the sword. Before that time Hazor was the head of all those kingdoms.

Judg 4:2

2So the Lord sold them into the hand of King Jabin of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-ha-goiim.
