Isshiah (I-shi´uh)

1 A descendant of Issachar (1Chr 7:3). 2 One of David’s “mighty warriors” (1Chr 12:6). 3 A leading member of the descendants of Rehabiah, possibly descended from Moses (1Chr 24:21; 1Chr 23:15-17). 4 A son of Uzziel from the tribe of Levi (1Chr 24:25). 5 A postexilic Israelite who divorced his foreign wife in response to Ezra’s proclamation (Ezra 10:31).

3The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. And the sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah, five, all of them chiefs;
