Igal (I´gal; Heb., “[God] redeems”)

1 The spy from Issachar sent by Moses to scout the promised land (Num 13:7). 2 One of David’s “mighty warriors” from Zobah (2Sam 23:36); apparently named as Joel in (1Chr 11:38). 3 A postexilic descendant of David (1Chr 3:22).
