Hushim

Hushim (Hoosh´im)

1 A son of Dan who went to Egypt with Jacob (Gen 46:23), although by a reversal of letters the name is Shuham in Numbers (Num 26:4) and the clan of which he is the ancestral head is called the Shuhamites. Many scholars consider the passage in Numbers to be more accurate. 2 The son of Aher; a descendant of Benjamin (1Chr 7:12). 3 The wife of Shaharaim, a Benjaminite, and mother of Ahitub and Elpaal (1Chr 8:8; 1Chr 8:11).

23The children of Dan: Hashum.

Num 26:4

4“Take a census of the people, from twenty years old and upward,” as the Lord commanded Moses.
The Israelites, who came out of the land of Egypt, were:

1Chr 7:12

12And Shuppim and Huppim were the sons of Ir, Hushim the son of Aher.

1Chr 8:8

8And Shaharaim had sons in the country of Moab after he had sent away his wives Hushim and Baara.

1Chr 8:11

11He also had sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal.
