Hermes (Huhr´meez)

1 The divine messenger of the Greek gods. Paul and Barnabas are mistaken for Hermes and Zeus when they visit Lystra and Paul heals a cripple there (Acts 14:12). 2 A Christian greeted in (Rom 16:14).

Acts 14:12

12Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

Rom 16:14

14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers and sisters who are with them.
