Helez (Hee´liz; Heb., “vigor,” “strength”)

1 An Ephraimite, one of David’s fighting men who later served him as the commander of a division of twenty-four thousand men (2Sam 23:26; 1Chr 27:10). 2 A descendant of Judah (1Chr 2:39).

10Seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the Ephraimites; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
