Hattush

Hattush (Hat´uhsh)

1 A son of Shemaiah, and a descendant of David (1Chr 3:22). 2 The head of a house that accompanied Ezra on the return from the Babylonian exile, perhaps the same person as 1 (Ezra 8:2). 3 A son of Hashabneiah, who took part in restoring the walls of Jerusalem (Neh 3:10). 4 One of the priests who sealed the covenant after the return from the exile (Neh 10:4). 5 A prominent priest who returned from the exile in Babylon with Zerubbabel (Neh 12:2).

22The son of Shecaniah: Shemaiah. And the sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six.
