Hammon (Ham´uhn; Heb., “hot spring”?)

1 An Asherite town (Josh 19:28), probably modern Umm el-‘Awamid, near the Mediterranean coast fifteen miles north of Acco. 2 A yet-unidentified levitical town of the Gershomites (1Chr 6:76) in Naphtali.

76and out of the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, Hammon with its pasture lands, and Kiriathaim with its pasture lands.
