En-gedi

En-gedi (En-ged´i; Heb., “spring of the young goat”)

An important oasis, with fresh water and hot springs, on the west shore of the Dead Sea near its center, about eighteen miles southeast of Hebron. It was part of the allotment of Judah (Josh 15:62).
