). Although such foods were not viewed as inherently unfavorable just because they appeal to one’s appetite (Job 33:20

), prudent Israelites were to avoid eating them at the table of unscrupulous persons whose intentions might be harmful (Ps 141:4
; Prov 23:3

20Asher's food shall be rich,
and he shall provide royal delicacies.
20so that their lives loathe bread,
and their appetites dainty food.
14“The fruit for which your soul longed
has gone from you,
and all your dainties and your splendor
are lost to you,
