Bezalel

Bezalel (Bez´uh-lel; Heb., “in the shadow of God”)

1 The Judahite who constructed the Ark (Exod 37:1) and was remembered for other achievements as well (Exod 38:22; Exod 31:1-11; Exod 35:30-33; Exod 36:1-2; 2Chr 1:5). 2 A descendant of Pahath-moab who was involved in Ezra’s order that returnees divorce non-Israelite wives (Ezra 10:30).

Making the Ark of the Covenant
1Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; it was two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
