Azaziah (Az´uh-zi´uh; Heb., “Yah[weh] is mighty”)

1 A levitical musician during the reign of King David (1Chr 15:21). 2 The father of Hoshea, the military commander of the tribe of Benjamin (1Chr 27:20). 3 A Levite Temple official during the reign of King Hezekiah who helped collect the tithes (2Chr 31:13).

1Chr 15:21

21but Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were to lead with lyres according to the Sheminith.
