Apollyon (Uh-pol´yuhn; Gk., “the Destroyer”)

A possible allusion to the Greek god Apollo or to the angel of death (Rev 9:11).

Rev 9:11

11They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.
