Alemeth

Alemeth (Al´uh-meth)

1 The son of Becher and grandson of Benjamin (1Chr 7:8). 2 A descendant of Saul, whose father was Jarah (1Chr 9:42) or Jehoaddah (1Chr 8:36). 3 A city in Benjaminite territory (1Chr 6:60), also called Almon and identified as Khirbet ‘Almit, located just northeast of Anathoth and east of Gibeon.

1Chr 7:8

8The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher;

1Chr 9:42

42and Ahaz became the father of Jarah, and Jarah of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza.

1Chr 8:36

36Ahaz became the father of Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; Zimri became the father of Moza.
