The son of Enan of the tribe of Naphtali (Num 1:15). Ahira is mentioned four additional times in Numbers as one of Moses’s assistants. He helped take the census (Num 2:29), made offerings (Num 7:78); (Num 7:83), and formed part of the rear guard (Num 10:27) when the tribe moved from Sinai.

29Then the tribe of Naphtali: The leader of the Naphtalites shall be Ahira son of Enan,
78On the twelfth day Ahira son of Enan, the leader of the Naphtalites:
83and for the sacrifice of well-being, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Ahira son of Enan.
